First step on installing the Factory Team Part No. 91124 4x4 Rear Sway Bar set is to remove the rear bumper assembly. Pretty straight forward. Uses hex screws.
I installed the sway bay and attached it with a drop of thread lock - I selected 3lb yellow bar. Note the sway bar goes under the wheel turnbuckles and over the rear drive linkage.
Now you switch to front side and attach the sway bar to the wheel frame assembly. On the driver side where the engine mount sticks out - I removed the tire and rim making this process easier. The motor blocks access to the pre-drilled screw hole.
You have to hold the bottom of the attachment centered with the screw hole in the wheel assembly and then drive in the screw - with the tire off it was much easier on the driver side.
You need to double check the screw is all the way driven in - as it will knock against the chassis as it travels up and down while driving.
The completed project! I test drove it for a bit after the install and it handled much better - I will really check it out tomorrow on the near by ball field. Next up with be the front sway bar.
